Saturday Sound Check Recitals - St Alban’s Community Choir

Come along to Shirley Library and enjoy some great, free, live music.

The choir was formed in 1997 and has been very successful due to its policy of being open to all comers - there are no auditions. The choir sings secular music, including light popular and folk songs. Heather Mitchell-Gladstone QSM is the conductor and Musical Director and accompanies the choir on piano accordion. The choir performs for community events such as Packe Street Park Carols, busks at The Christchurch Art Centre, and performs at other social events. Their concert at Shirley last year was warmly received and of a high standard. We are very pleased to welcome them back.
