Saturday Sound Check Recitals - John Dierckx Guitar Duo

Come along to Shirley Library and enjoy some great, free, live music.

John is a Christchurch based professional guitar player and teacher of guitar, bass, ukulele and music theory. He originally Studied Jazz at the Rotterdam Conservatoire, now known as Codarts University for the Arts, in the Netherlands. He has played with national and internationally acclaimed worship leaders and Christian artists such as Bob Fitts, Karen Lafferty, Sean Feucht (USA), Fini & Isi De Gersigny (AUS) and Rob Packer (NZ). He has also played with, and been applauded by, many international guitar players.

At Shirley Library he will be performing well-known, mostly jazz, tunes accompanied by fellow guitar player, Charles Breurkes. John also plays, classical, fusion, pop, rock, metal – or anything else you might want him to play! John says he has been influenced by Joe Pass – and of course many other great players.
